UPCOMING: Book Events in Washington, D.C., May 7-8
I'm happy to announce that I'll be visiting Washington, D.C. in a couple of weeks to talk about my new book, No Jim Crow Church: The Origins of South Carolina's Baha'i Community. On Saturday night I'll be the speaker at a monthly "salon" at the home of Augusto Lopez-Claros, Director of the Global Indicators Group at the World Bank. And the next day I'll address the regular Sunday morning program at the DC Baha'i Center.
Friends and colleagues in the Washington metropolitan area, please come, and help me spread the word!
My publisher, the University Press of Florida, is offering a very steep discount off the book's cover price ($30 instead of the regular $75) for those who attend these events, and you can take advantage online as well. To do so please visit my book's page at the press's website and when you check out apply the code AU516.
Thanks for the support!
