UPCOMING: Book Talk in Greenville, SC
Friends, family, and coworkers in Upstate South Carolina, please join me for a free lecture and discussion about my new book, A History of the Baha'i Faith in South Carolina, just published by the History Press, at the Baha'i Center in Greenville this Saturday, April 13. Potluck dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., and the program starts at 7:30. I'll have plenty of copies of the book for sale, $22 each.
The book is a short (108 pp.), copiously illustrated (70+ images and maps) introduction to the first century of the Baha'i Faith in South Carolina, a state which today counts one of this religion's most important followings in the US. Come learn more about how a new, theologically innovative, interracial faith community grew and developed in a small southern state--and what its story means for our country's future.
Please spread the word! Hope to see y'all there!
And if you're farther afield and you'd like me to come speak to your community, organization, or institution, please get in touch!
